Dr. Diez Benavente is an Assistant Professor in Experimental Cardiology at the UMC Utrecht (Netherlands). His research focuses on the analysis of complex biological data to understand sex differences and mechanisms of ageing in atherosclerosis. In addition, he is strongly motivation to valorize his scientific findings into clinically relevant technologies and assays to improve the management and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases in women and men.
